OS settings: how to allow camera and microphone access in macOS

1. Open System Settings.
2. Go to the Privacy & Security section.
   
3. In the left menu, select Camera.
   
4. Make sure your browser, such as Chrome, Safari, or another browser, is selected in the list of apps that are allowed to access the camera.
5. If the browser is not in the list, click the + button and add it from the Applications folder.
6. Then select Microphone in the left menu.
   
7. Click the settings icon on the left side of the address bar.
8. Make sure the microphone and camera toggles are enabled.
   
9. Make sure your browser is also selected in the list of allowed applications.
