Additional Solutions
If the instructions for your operating system did not help, try the following universal solutions.
Restart the browser
- Close the browser completely.
- If you use Google Chrome, restart it. To do this, open the browser and enter the following in the address bar: chrome://restart.
- After restart, make sure the microphone is enabled and adjust the volume as described in the instructions above.
- Rejoin the interview.
Restart the computer
- Restart your computer depending on your OS:
- Windows:
Start->Power->Restart. - macOS:
Apple menu->Restart.
- Windows:
- After restart, adjust the microphone volume in system settings as described in the instructions above.
- Rejoin the interview.
Check headset settings
- Some headsets have a Mute button that disables the microphone. Check that this button is not pressed.
- Some headsets automatically disable the microphone when moved to a vertical position. Try moving the headset to a horizontal position.
- Make sure the headset plug is fully inserted into the correct computer jack, for wired headsets.
