Additional Solutions

If the instructions for your operating system did not help, try the following universal solutions.


Restart the browser

  1. Close the browser completely.
  2. If you use Google Chrome, restart it. To do this, open the browser and enter the following in the address bar: chrome://restart.
  3. After restart, make sure the microphone is enabled and adjust the volume as described in the instructions above.
  4. Rejoin the interview.

Restart the computer

  1. Restart your computer depending on your OS:
    • Windows: Start -> Power -> Restart.
    • macOS: Apple menu -> Restart.
  2. After restart, adjust the microphone volume in system settings as described in the instructions above.
  3. Rejoin the interview.

Check headset settings

  • Some headsets have a Mute button that disables the microphone. Check that this button is not pressed.
  • Some headsets automatically disable the microphone when moved to a vertical position. Try moving the headset to a horizontal position.
  • Make sure the headset plug is fully inserted into the correct computer jack, for wired headsets.
